Haven Hall & Grounds
Haven Hall provides the perfect setting for weddings, spectacular parties and corporate away days. The extraordinary location on top of the cliffs with 180º stunning views overlooking Sandown Bay makes it feel like the South of France. The microclimate of the Isle of Wight adds to this illusion by having more sunshine days than Spain and generally milder weather than anywhere else in the UK. So it is the ideal backdrop for all manner of events – or just a relaxing holiday. Alan Titchmarsh recently awarded Haven Hall “Best Commercial Garden 2017” for Isle of Wight in Bloom
The House and grounds have been extensively landscaped and planted to accent the natural beauty of the view. There are many different areas to sit and enjoy the surroundings. Situated at the far end of a cul-de-sac, Haven Hall is surprisingly quiet and tranquil, all you hear are seagulls, waves, a few boats passing by and children playing on the beach below. Just watching the colours of the sea and sky change throughout the day is a treat. The Cliff Path that circles the Island is just a few steps away from the gate, making it easy to go for a stroll and explore the area.
As an exclusive use venue, Haven Hall can be your home away from home. After your wedding or event has come to an end, you can just climb the stairs and retire to one of our lovely 14 bedrooms. The welcoming, light and bright feel of the House never feels stuffy or old fashioned despite the antique style furniture. All the rooms have been carefully designed for comfort so that guests can feel inspired and relaxed. And of course there’s the pool and tennis court to help you keep fit.
Haven Hall also prides itself on incorporating lots of environmentally friendly features. Solar panels grace many of the roofs to capture that Isle of Wight sunshine for lighting and heating. Even the pool’s changing room has a roof made of a specially designed material that heats the water in the pool.
As well as preserving the old cavity walls of the house, lots of modern insulation has been added to help the rooms feel snug and draught free. Unusual for the Island, the house boasts full air conditioning that both heats and cools the house according to need. The windows have all been replaced with double glazed replicas, and great care has been taken for fire prevention.
“What an amazing and exotic Boutique B&B with spectacular sea views! The garden is fabulous with big outdoor swimming pool and grass tennis court.” Lady Sally Grylls
